We will show you how fast you can mark eggs with eggID.
Reliable stamping
With a flexible stamping plate
The eggID egg stamp has a flexible stamping plate that easily adapts to any surface, so you don’t have to take the egg in your hand or out of the packaging, which also reduces the transmission of germs and prevents damage to the eggs. A short touch of the egg with the stamp is enough – without the need for careful rolling and long positioning. Never again broken eggs during marking.
Fast stamping
With integrated ink pad
The stamping ink is already integrated in the eggID egg stamp. This means you do not need a separate ink pad. That doesn’t only save money but also a lot of time. You can simply press the stamp on one egg after the other and easily stamp more than 7,000 eggs per hour. The first filling of the stamp is sufficient for approx. 20,000 imprints. After that you can refill the stamp very easily and quickly and make another 10,000 stamp imprints per filling.
Clean stamping
With a perfect imprint quality
The eggID egg stamping ink is smudge-proof very quickly, food safe and boil-proof. The stamp plate has a very high resolution – therefore the imprints are razor sharp. Due to the integrated ink no separate ink pad is necessary. No more fingers full of stamping ink.
FAQs
Frequently asked questions about the egg stamps
In order to ensure that all eggs can be traced back to the laying hen house, there has been a Europe-wide labelling requirement for eggs since 2004. The stamp on the egg must indicate the farming method, origin and laying house number.
The first digit with the value from 0 to 3 of the imprint stands for the farming method of the laying hens:
0 = organic production
1 = Free range production
2 = barn management
3 = cage farming
The following letters are the country code for the country of origin of the eggs,
e.g.:
DE = Germany
NL = Netherlands
FR = France
PL = Poland
AT = Austria
The following 2 digits give information about the respective federal state in which the laying farm is located,
e.g.:
07 = Rhineland Palatinate
08 = Baden-Würtemberg
09 = Bavaria
10 = Saarland
The next 4 digits stand for the farm number and the last digit is the barn number of the laying farm.
From time to time, dirt and dust collect on the stamp surface. The stamp will then no longer make a clean impression. To ensure that the stamp works properly again, take a soft damp cloth (kitchen roll) and dab the stamp plate with it until it is clean again. For stubborn dirt, you can also use window cleaners.
You should avoid wiping or rubbing. If the ink is encrusted with dust, the resulting grains can damage the text plate.
Stamp dry afterwards.
If the text plate is still dirty, you can also try using alcohol. However, this is not a measure for regular cleaning because it can damage the text plate in the medium term.
If the eggs are very dusty, we recommend cleaning the stamp daily or every two days after use with a damp paper towel.
Yes, the egg stamp is easily refillable. Simply pull the handle vertically upwards from the lower part of the stamp. Then take an ink bottle (1.5 ml), carefully cut off the tip at the outer edge, pierce the open side into the hole of the stamp and then unscrew the white cap of the ink bottle. This causes the ink to run slowly into the stamp.
One bottle is sufficient for about 15,000 prints. Please note that you only use certified and food-safe ink from modico.
